Initial Actions As I may have mentioned before, I don't plan to make any major decisions about transitioning to a male presentation until the gender Odyssey Conference in 2013.
I have however decided to take the following steps:
- Stop buying any women's clothing except bras.. stuck with h tose.
- Join a gym and get healtthier and stronger.
- Get binder to wear when I need to present as male-ish.
My hair will stay long as long as Jim makes it clear he wants it to stay that way at least until the conference next year.
I will only have a mastectomy if there is amedical reason to do so.
I've mostly just been posting these fairly trivial lists, but I'm still digesting all this stuff.. I will wax more substantial soon.
Someone from the Transitioning in the Second Half of Life session at the conference has started a sort of "game" for transgender people... You are supposed to choose something you have never done before and do it in the next two weeks. She joined the League of Women Voters. I told all my many nieces and nephews and a couple grand nephews that i am no longer their Aunt Nan but rather their Uncle Kit. My eldest niece, Freya, just posted on my Facebook addressing me as Uncle Kit.. that was just mind boggling. What a great bunch my family is.. well, most of them.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
These are a few of the things I love about realizing my brain is male. They all involve ditching "girl angst".
I can throw my makeup away.
I don't have to shave my underarms.
I can sit indecorously any time I want.
I don't have to be the nurturer in the family unless I want to. My partner is better at it anyway.
I like Kit better than Nan -- he's funnier, more relaxed and more cheerful.
The clothes are much more comfortable.
So that's why I love swords so much!
It is who I have always been, whether I put a label on it or not.
I will find more and more like this.
Too bad Kit doesn't have less of a problem with typos...
