Elementary Fic: Silent Mode
This is a 100 word Elementary fic: I used a prompt from the Numbers Challenge as a reward for the Weekend Challenge. badly_knitted Please enjoy this drabble in the spirit it was intended :):)
“There’s a code for the radio being monitored?”
Sherlock nodded emphatically. “It’s quite brilliant actually. Code 14-01 alerts law enforcement to use their phones to convey confidential information.”
Joan shook her head in wonderment. “This is why you upgraded your police scanner isn’t it? You’re trying to intercept all of the newest radio codes.”
Sherlock smiled grimly in reply. “Watson, a detective must be alert at all times and that includes knowing when the police want to keep an investigation classified.”
He paused before finishing his sentence. “Then we can know the perfect moment to barge in and solve it.”
