First, my prayers go out to all of the people hurt and killed at the Navy Yard in D.C. today--a very frightening day.
And second, I need to talk about TV and my hopes for the upcoming season:
1. I watched Sleepy Hollow tonight and I think it looks promising. I like that supernatural elements, including witchcraft and the Book of Revelations are tied into the Headless Horseman and how that is all than tied to the beginnings of America.
2. I can't wait for the new season of Elementary to begin and I look forward to Joan and Sherlock solving interesting cases, learning more about Moriarty's various crimes and of course, the first epi will be set in London and we will get to meet D.I. Lestrade and Mycroft. Bring it! :)
3. I am now reading spoilers for Sherlock that have Mary Morstan being evil and/or tied to Sebastian Moran somehow and I just hope the show doesn't do anything that obvious because John deserves to actually have a happy relationship. Yes, I want Sherlock and John to regain their friendship but not at the expense of John's new romance.
4. I hope Supernatural doesn't make the mistake of bringing up Sam's boring and tepid romance with Amelia--once the show dropped that storyline and just focused on Sam and Dean's brotherly relationship, the season improved.
5. The Hawaii Five-0 writers needs to remember that the McDanno bromance was the show's main draw along with the banter and over the top action adventure scenes amongst the Fearsome Foursome. That needs to be the focus on S4.
