I must say that work life without Uncle Johnny has been very pleasant and stress free. I hadn’t realized how loud and obnoxious he was until his absence.
For me, this episode was why I love H50. There was some good McDanno bantering, we got to see all four of the Fearsome Foursome figuring out clues and acting badass-how much did I love that Steve, Danny and Chin all had awesome bad guy take downs? And of course Kono had the crowning glory of dropping the trailer on the drug dealer-nice.
I always love getting more detail about Danny’s past Newark PD days and we now know that at one point, he was on the Narcotics squad. Very cool indeed.
I also don’t blame him for not wanting to fly with a newly licensed pilot-he’ll fly with Steve because he trusts him, but Kamekona, not so much.
I was not a huge fan of Magnum PI, but I do like the show’s mentioning the characters, but I didn’t think Max was doing a good impression of the theme song-it wasn’t until the actual theme started to play that I realized what he was trying to mimic.
Lastly, no Doris always means a good show--her presence grates and her lack of caring for all of the pain she's caused makes her extremely unlikeable--but does every scene with Catherine have to be in some sort of skimpy/bathing suit/jean shorts? What happened to the competent Navy lieutenant who appeared in her uniform?
I guess the next episode won’t be until mid to late April? DAMN!!
