It snowed a little bit last night, but now it's melting. The sun is shining so brightly, and it looks like it's really March outside. As a reminder of Februrary though, I got Valentine's chocolates from my grandfather. He bought chocolates this year (as most years) instead of making fudge like he did my first year, when it tasted like old man smell.
My tongue hurts. It's been hurting for a few days, but at least it seems to be getting better, albeit slowly. My self-diagnosis is a herpes virus living in my tongue now that causes cankersores during periods of slight immunocompromisation.
Got wait listed at UT Southwestern after all. I'll hear back probably in late May. Mom says that this means I should do the FAFSA. Blech. At least I still have some hope -- though as Dr. Shutt says, "aliquando spes telum esse potest."
How are we already here, almost ready to graduate? There's quiz bowl sectionals this weekend, and then 100 Days the weekend after that. I'm not sure what I think of 100 Days because I suspect it'll just make me feel rejected yet again.
