Moving on
"Good-bye, there's just no sadder word to say" How true it is...as much as we all say that we will stay in touch, how many of your friends from high school are you still friends with, especially if you moved out of home? It's just in this past week that the realization settled on me that now that I am done school and looking for a teaching job, I probably will not ever see half of the people I know as friends right now ever again...and the likelihood of seeing the others anytime between now and next July is very very slim. I mean, think about it...we hang out after school, during breaks, on days off, but with teaching, you're at the school crazy hours, breaks are minimal compared to what I've enjoyed the past 4 years, days off include the weekends of lesson planning and setting up the classroom...where is the free time...it's just sad to admit that another chapter is ending and that like all of the people I loved during high school, these friends are inevitably going to fade into memories too...
