DEATH BY ELEVATOR!!!!
It's been quite a while since my last post so here goes...
Internship is going well.
I work 5days a week 8am to 5pm...for $0. That part sucks.
I also still have weekly homwork assignments and a paper for this internship...which is frankly ridiculous.
but I do like where I work.
I get to observe all different types of trials and court proceedings which is tons of fun and occasionally shadow lawyers as they work with clients and handle thier cases...its awesome.
In other news...I almost died last night on an elevator in the new Mariott downtown.
Went out there for a tour of the new Convention center and a tour of the Marriott where the Jimmy V will be next year.
Started on the 17th floor headed to the 4th, the elevator suddenly dropped about 10 floors, then the lights went out and a few minutes later came back on and the elevator voice started to reboot, counting all the floors and going through its list of things like "up" "down" "emergency" etc. Then we went down a few more floors and ended up on the lobby where we flew out of the elevator and decided we didn't really need to visit the suite on the fourth.
It was like the Tower of Terror...only it was for real.

Mom leant me the book Twilight since she liked it so much and I will admit the story has caught me up, I've read things like this before...I used to be very into vampire stories in middle school...and this is a pretty darn good one...although its a little slow paced at the moment.
My meetup group is doing GREAT! At the second meeting we had over 18 members attend and it was fantastic, we sat around at Caribou Coffee right up until they closed!
As soon as I get this room rental all set up we will be having a game/movie night where we'll watch something on my projector in one corner and have a few game systems set up with RockBand 2, Halo and whatever other games my members offer up.
And some of the members are working to get a group together to try out a convention...we'll see how that works out.
I love this...who knew I could start up a group and have so much interest so quickly?! its so exciting!
so life is pretty decent right now...I do miss Boone and all of my friends who I can't see often with my crazy internship schedule...but I PROMISE I will figure out a visit or something soon!
