cypress prom! and other happenings...
Last night was Cypress prom and it was amazing!
the last few weeks have been interesting.... it's weird when you're viewed by someone (a particular boy, actually) almost as an object of infatuation... and then they kind of discard you, also like an object... Putting up an emotional wall and keeping feelings separate really did make a difference though, I guess... and the opposite sex is just so difficult at times that I think this is my new strategy. I'm not going to get emotionally involved because it's too painful and, frankly, the risk isn't worth it. So whatever...ugh.
So the prom was AMAZING! I had SUCH a good time. Borrowed a dress and shoes from Chelsea (switched to cypress from FM), this gorgeous gold Cache one. Got ready at Lauren's... she got extensions and they look AWESOME, by the way! Then we all headed to Caitlin's for pics... there were SO many people! Took cute ones on the dock by her house, though. Then we all got on the party bus, oh my GOSH, I can't even begin to explain how fun/funny that was! There were tons of people, tons of drinks, good music... all pretty much goe trashed, then the bus driver had us drop off the alcohol to hide while we were at the dance, and that was a good idea b/c they weren't breathalizing, but just checked the bus. The dance was so funny, we had a GREAT time and I saw some people I hadn't seen in a while. Stayed a few hours, then got back on the bus... went to Mcdonalds and tried to walk through the drive-thru (didn't work), then all just drove around and partied, picked up the alcohol again. It was insane, everyone was just dancing and whatever and we had so much fun! All the girls changed outta their dresses, LK and I made hot pink t-shirts with white writing that say "Prom 2006" so we wore those, hahaha. After everything, we got picked up by Lauren's brother Ethan... I went and saw the "baseball boys", or rather the "baseball boy" for a little. Then back to LK's house to pass out. :o)
Overall, had an AWESOME night!! I hope MY prom is HALF as fun as Lauren's was! Seriously!!!
