Today has just gone south...

My day started out fine, got to class in plenty of time, got groceries, came back to the house I'm staying at, you know. It got a little crazy when I realized I had forgotten a test back home, and barely flew into my later class on time. Then I get home, change into pajamas and watch tv.

Now onw of the dogs, a mini poodle, is...freaking me out, to say the least. She's 14, white fur, and deaf (from age). She started whining and scratching at the door of the room she sleeps in, so I let her out for a bit. I pet her, scratch her belly, and suddenly she freaks out after I put her on my lap on the couch. I set her down, thinking she probably doesn't like it, and she starts grinding her ears into the carpet. I start freaking out, thikning something got in her ears today while she was outside, but I'm scared to mess with her while she's freaking out. After about a minute, she finally stops, nose straight in the air, when I scratch behind her ears. She seemed to be frozen when I picked her up, but slowly relaxed while I carried her to 'her' room. She was fine for about 10 minutes, then started scratching again.

This has been going on for about...2 hours now? She's since then started barking (which is unusual for her, being old and deaf, plus her personality) incessantly. I'm worried sick that something happened to her, or if she might decide to move on while her family (the people who's house I'm watching) is on vacation...

If anyone can help me with information, please comment! I may take her to the vet tomorrow, just to be sure. D: I'm a total failure in this area, since I don't have pets (and never have).
