New vid: You Were the Last High

We've had this vid done for like 2 weeks, and are finally posting it! It's a new collaboration from f1renze and me.

The song is "You Were the Last High" by The Dandy Warhols. It's a Brian character study, with a good amount of Brian/Justin. It's basically about what's important to Brian.

It's great! I'm lame at feedback, especially for vids ('cause I don't know the jargon) but the mood and the music and the edits were just seamless.

It's very late, I just finished the longest more difficult icon I ever made, my brain is melting, but I had to tell you that I LOVED this new one, really, really loved it! <333

I'll be back tomorrow for a decent feedback...not hat I have anything even remotely interesting to say, but...well....

First of all I adore the song you chose, and I think it's absolutely perfect for a Brian pov vid... :-)

Anyway...the thing loved the most about this one is the editing.
I love, love, love the way you worked with transitions and fading effects (especially during the sex scenes, but the whole vid is good)...my editing freak heart skipped a bit at the perfect transition between the Babylon scene and the one at the loft (2.51-2.57), but there are tons of good ones...

I loved the rhythm and the timing of the clips, enjoyed the little things like the fast zoom thingy at the very beginning, or the White Party's lights effect (1.36), or the foot on chest "hiiiiigh" (3.47)...

Also, I loved how you showed the brake up without showing Ethan's face but only Brian and Justin's reactions...yey!

Sooo...what I'm trying to say in my own totally fucked up way is that I really like it...

YAY! Editing is the biggest part of our job as vidders.

YAY!!! Fading so much is new to us.. we usually only have a few fades in our vids when it's really necessary, but we wanted a more flowy feel for this vid. It was difficult to master and I'm glad it worked for you. :)

It took so much effort, you have no idea. I completely re-did the first refrain about 10 times, I'm not even kidding. Getting the rhythm right took a long time. So.. again, YAY!

I loved it.
Everything was moving,music,scenes and editing.
I'm a little confused by the last scene,don't know why...go back check it out.

The last scene.. I view it as (possibly) Brian's last trick. Not sure how else we could have ended it.

Thanks so much! Brian has changed so much in the last 4 years (but in some ways, he's still the same). It was fun to track that.
