SGA fic - twinned drabble tags for This Mortal Coil
Hi everyone, I hope you had a great Christmas for those of you who celebrate it, and a restful day off for those who don't.
I've just seen the mid-season finale for Stargate: Atlantis, This Mortal Coil, and I've written paired drabble tags for the episode. I haven't included a summary since it's spoilery for the episode.

New and Improved
He sucks a bruise onto his Rodney’s chest before the others arrive. Just below the clavicle, where it’s hidden by his T-shirt. He’s always thought about marking Rodney there but rank, responsibility, and Rodney’s irascible mouth stopped him. Now it seems that even Rodney’s mouth isn’t enough to hold him back when the duties of military commander of Atlantis are no longer his to claim. Rodney’s skin turns pink, then red, then purple-black beneath his lips. The mark will be gone before the others arrive - erased by Nanites like it never existed - but John will know it was there.

Original and Still The Best
Before they gate out John pulls Rodney into a transporter and kisses him, pressing him against the wall, then pulls his T-shirt down to darken the mark that already adorns the pale skin beneath his collarbone. Rodney stutters a few words of protest - they don’t have time for this - and John agrees. He lets him go, knowing he can now identify his Rodney. If Elizabeth’s correct, the duplicates were formed from memories over a year old, before Rodney ever fumbled his way into John’s bed. If things go well, John will tell his duplicate just how good it can be.
