(no subject)
I MET THE BACKSTREET BOYS!!!! Well, I totally met Kevin, as seen in the picture. 
We got to portland around 2:30 and my dad wanted to walk down and see what was up with the soundcheck. So we went for a walk around the arena and then saw a bunch of buses. Then a security guard came up to us adn was like "you need to walk down the other side of the street" so we knew one of the guys was around. So we go down to the end of the street and a bunch of people were just standing around and my sister goes "oh my gosh, that's kevin" And so we went over to him and asked him for his autograph and got our picture with him and rebecca introduced him to Natsu. he was so great with her. Asked her where in Japan she was from adn told her they were going back in january and we explained she was here for a year and only had been in the country a week and a half. He todl her he'd say hi to japan for her and that she was doing well for only a week. he was so nice.
so then howie came out and said he had to go inside but would come back in a few minutes. then nick came off of his bus and signed some autographs. but he wasn't feeling well so he didn't sign too many...so i didn't get his then.
so then rebecca and i went to teh soundcheck. we met some wicked cool people from the fan club. when we went in, the guys were soooo cool. it was such a relaxed environment. they sang just want you to know and weird world. then we got to ask some questions. one girl asked if they'd ever been in maine before. brian said he didn't think they had. but he really enjoyed the ll Bean store across the street from the civic center. so i yelled out that there was a bigger one in freeport. He goes "what?" and looks right at me. i told him about it and how it was open 24 hours and never closed. he goes "oh man. thanks for telling me. I'm gonna go buy me a boat! and a rain coat. no more catalog shopping for me!" and nick goes "oh great, now we get to bring a boat on tour with us" :-D I had a conversation with Brian Littrell.
Then Rebecca got to ask a question and she asked them to sing part of the all i have to give conversation remix. They said the didn't remember all of it. Nick said all he remembered was that his part was really cheesy. Rebecca goes "well, Kevin your part is our favorite. can you just say. "My name is kev and i will always love you....yes baby...no diggy"" Kevin goes "I said No diggy?" and a bunch of the girls started laughing and cheering. Brian goes "Yeah, that was part of your blackstreet phase" and kevin said it a bunch of times and then goes "no diggidy" and Nick goes "no! it was just no diggy" and he said it a bunch more tiems and goes "was it like this? or this? was it deeper?" and rebecca and i about died laughing.
one girl asked them to sing lose it all. Kevin said it was his favorite song lately and he goes "it's prolly cause it's the only song i've sang lead on in about 30 years." and all the girls awed. Brian started singing "Ain't nobody else but you" cause that was the last song he sang lead on and it wasn't even released in america. then nick like counted on his fingers and goes "it wasn't thirty years ago." and aj goes "yeah, it was like 8 year ago." so then they go "do you want to hear nick's version or kevin's version" meaning who sings lead. and kevin goes "we're doing nick's version." so they sang some of it and they didn't even remember all the words. it was sooo funny.
Another girl thanked aj for wearing a mcdonald's nametag at a concert once. kevin goes "yeah, we got sued by burger king for that." cause burger king sponsored one of thier tours. the girl like got all upset and apologized. aj goes "kevin don't make her cry" and kevin goes "no we didn't." then brian started singing the burger king theme.
Once the soundcheck started winding down the guys were getting ready to pose for pictures up on stage adn rebecca asked if we were gonna get to get autographs and he said no cause there were too many people. so i went right up to the stage and got howie's attention. howies said hi. and i go "howie, can you sign this?' and motioned to my scrapbook page. he said yeah and leaned over the the stage to take it from me. he signed it and got all the other guys to sign it. AJ was the last one and handed it back to me. So, to recap...interaction with all of them EXCEPT NICK! gah...oh well, somethign to still dream of!
