Watched Milk last night. Amazing movie. Sean Penn was just incredible. Like seriously, he can transform into anybody he wants. I was just completely absorbed into his portrayal of Harvey Milk. Really, really good. No wonder he won Best Actor for the role.
And, of course, both James Franco and Emile Hirsch were in it as well, both of whom I shamelessly crush on. They were both great, but I absolutely loved Emile's character. He was my favorite.
Anyway, it was such a great movie, I completely bawled my eyes out, and I think that it's a good film for people to see, especially during this time. It just really makes me angry that there is still so much discrimination in our world today, you know? I don't want to get all political, and I won't, but I just don't understand how in a nation where all people are supposed to be created equal, there is still so much disregard for the happiness of human beings. After all, it's just love. What's so harmful in that?
