I really do love NY.
Lake George is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. And the best part was that I got to spend time there with my best friend in the world. I don't know if I'm ever actually gonna be able to find a guy who will be able to understand and be comfortable with the fact that my ex is my best friend, but I don't plan on giving up on the hunt.
It was pretty rainy and icky on the drive to Albany but it was gorgeous on the way to the Lake and the whole time we were there. I've never really been on a vacation where I just got to lounge around in a bikini almost the whole day. I am so sore from the woater tubing, but it was definitely an excellent time. I went cliff jumping for the first time ever too. I jumped from the lowest spot i could and I don't know if I'll ever do it again but at least its on that list of things that I have done. The rest of the afternoon we just layed out on a raft in the sun until it was time for dinner. I could have driven all the way out there just for that since Bill's mom made her sauce. It was interesting being around his family again. They are all very confused and can't quite grasp the fact that we are just friends now, or they are just hoping that we get to be more again. His one aunt is hilarious. Apparently before I got there she asked if we were back together. When he replied no her response was "oh so you're just having sex." Since this journal is apprently so widely read I'll just leave that where it is without commenting on her comment :)
Since the house on the lake was so full we headed back to Bill's house for the night. We rented the Butterfly Effect which I highly recommmend to anyone who hasn't seen it. In fat I insist that you see it. We watched it with Danny and his girlfriend. After that it was time to put some noxema on the sunburns and go to bed.
Today was almost just as great except I was exhausted from only getting 4 hours of sleep the night before. Then we went to lunch with Brian at TGI Friday's and my food was the worst. At least they took my burger off the bill since it was undercooked but I think the manger actually had the nerve to add my fries back on the bill. Looks like that is one more place on the list of restaurants I won't eat at unless its the last place on earth. Added to that I was quickly brought back to reality by having to head back for work tonight. Ick.
At least I have the rest of the week off to help De move in and party down at Alfred before Jenna's party Friday. I'm thinking the rest of this week should be really great too.
