Getting with the program

It seems like everyone is getting one of these things so I thought it was about time that I joined the cool kids. We'll see how often I actually have time to write in this thing, but for tonight I am not ready to go to bed and I am bored.

It's 5 weeks into my grad school career and I am already getting a little burnt out. It's a little crazy getting used to this no days off in the quarter thing, and the whole ten week quarter thing itself. I'm glad though because I am already sick of the classes I am taking.

But tonight was a pretty good night. A few of us 1st year school psychers went to Mex on Alexander st. tonight. It was supposed to be all 19 of us, but only five showed up. Oh well, I guess that just means we are the coolest people. Granted it was crazy trying to get there. I needed gas so I went to fill up on Lake ave. on the way. This really sketchy guy that was standing around came up to ask me for a quarter. I really thought he was going to hurt me. He was really invading my personal space. So while I am trying to figure out the best way to run away from him if I need to I stop pumping and apparently the pump shuts off if you stop for 5 seconds. At least thats what the girl behind the crazy plexyglass wall said. So I had to start the whole process over again. Then I swear it took me half an hour to park when I got there since I didn't want to pay $5 or park to far away since I drove alone. I really lucked out and found a nice spot that was fairly easy to parallel park in almost right across the street. This after a horrible attempt to park in a tiny spot on East ave. I had to give up after I think I might have tapped the car behind me. No damage at all but I didn't want to get out of the car if anyone saw me.

So that was my exciting Thurs night out. Its getting pretty late so this will have to wrap up my first entry. I think I am gonna put off making a friends list until tomorrow, or rather later today after 8 hours of much needed rest. Hopefully tomorrow will be a productive day since Greece has no school and I don't have to get up early. But if recent history suggests anything it will not be. :(
