Officer's Training and My Absence

Thank the Lord, after three weeks in Officer’s Training far from home, I have finally returned. Thanks. That's life. To be honest, it was the best time I could have had Officer's Training - I won't be missing any other holiday, and otherwise I might have been missing both Purim and Passover or the High Holy Days.

Thank you! I was also surprised by it - I'm used to Hanukkah (which is also my birthday) falling around the Winter Solstice (which is my Gregorian birth-date). Other than the sheer cold, everything is going excellently.

Yes, it does have a tendency to be an easy date to remember. It was... well, as well as can be accepted for being in the army, knowing there is still a week and a half until I return home. It was my various friends wishing me happy birthday that really made it happy.
