thanks for answering! i, too, used to watch Sailor Moon long ago- especially the one with Sailors Neptune and Uranus. On American tv, they heavily edited out the lesbian stuff, but they couldn't fool me. :)

ha- i suppose fangirling is a weird hobby to most people but not around these parts.

i love a good anti-hero and/or anti-villain. i think i might like the anti-villains more at this point- anti-heroes are becoming a bit overdone on American tv these days. i was disappointed by the resolution in Deathly Hallows, but I don't think I would fault JKR's worldbuilding. She's certainly better at it than any of her most recent imitators in the YA genre.

Confession: I can't do Tolkien. Heresy for a fantasy fan, I know! i like the movies ok and I liked the Hobbit as a kid but it's just nor me.

I still read fanfiction for it (mostly centered on Haruka/Michiru), though most of my favorite authors haven't updated in quite a while. They didn't fool me either - Haruka and Michiru were my first realization, at about third grade, that different sexualities existed. I'm glad we share this as well (the season they were most in was the third, Sailor Moon S, which as I wrote above, was my favorite).

I see what you're saying about anti-villains. JKR had too many flaws, from characters to world to plot.
As for Tolkien, that's fine. I admit it's very detail-oriented, but I enjoy that a lot when done properly, and am quite good at remembering it.

if you like anime, have you seen Strawberry Panic? it's got to be the most femslashy thing i have ever seen anywhere. it's basically just girls' boarding school politics. i think you would dig the romance between reigning Ice Queen Shizuma and naive new girl, Nagisa.

Looked it up, it sounds very interesting, and it's not too long. I'll have to check it out. What did you think of the a/b/o fics I recommended?

i checked them out, including some others from the challenge where i was more familiar with the pairing...and yeah, i have to conclude that a/b/o is just not for me. there is something about the merging of human and animal traits in a/b/o that takes me right out of the story. but i can see how someone would be attracted to the power dynamics in the setup.

To each their own, then. The more I see of Strawberry Panic though, the more I'm certain I'll love it. I've made it up my mind to watch it as soon as possible.

it's not by any means deep or subtle, but it's *all* femslash pairings, *all* the time. and the main pair is an enigmatic domme and a sweet innocent- yeah, i think this has your name on it. ;)

I wonder what it says about me (and what you know of me) that merely based on those two facts, you knew to recommend it to me...
