Massive update

"Eli Eli" is up and running. Anyone interested in seeing how I might have turned out if I'd have made some very different decisions can take a look HERE.
The beauty ritual is a water balloon inside a towel inside a pair of leggings inside a bathing suit, over which is a stuffed bra, two shirts, two skirts, as well as the doubled head-rag, and naturally, sandals with socks.

I went for a job interview at the American School here for a summer job. Fingers crossed. If I get the job, I shall be a counselor at their performing arts camp. They have a budget and well-behaved kids. How cool is that?

Purim came and went. This year I went as Carmen Sandiego and Glitch (from "Tin Man") respectively. Some photos are up on FB, and some will be added later.
In addition to the dressing up, this year's celebration involved an extra tradition. I finally got drunk. We played a stupid drinking game that got me to down three shots of vodka really quickly. So that was fun... and scary. It was fun until I got very, very sick. I don't think I'll be doing that again any time soon.
Apparently I tried to have an intelligent discussion while intoxicated, and most of it involved me calling the other party a homophobe. Hee hee.

I've started going to physiotherapy for my hands. Another thing to thank Artisan for. My physiotherapist is really amazing. She all of, what, twenty-three? She's an intern, and thus hasn't gained the proper level of pompousness that most doctors reach. The only downside is that I can't do almost anything with my hands. No guitar, reading, cooking, getting off, drawing, writing... You get the idea. In theory, I'm allowed to do any of the above and more, as long as I stop as soon as I feel pain. As this takes all of five minutes, you can imagine my frustration.
That, and I'm wearing the braces full-time. Yay.

Yaron called! Hopefully well meet up over the next few weeks.

Service called to inform me that due to my medical issues, they won't be able to give me an apartment. I've been counting on getting out of the house. This is the first time I've effectively been told "no" because of my illness. This brings me to...

I'm looking at apartments. More on that later.
