I'm going to do a good thing.

I won't talk about the things that made me want to scream today at rehearsal.
I'll talk about the things that made me laugh.
Some of you may appreicate these, as they're musical theatre related.

First off, Netan'el and I (okay, Netan'el did and I followed behind with my suitcase) carted Nessa's wheelchair to Arrison today...complete with green baby Elphaba in the seat. We got many strange looks.
And if people are already looking at you funny, why not sing for the same price?
We played "musical associations," i.e. someone starts singing, someone cuts them off with a song with a corresponding lyric or musical note.
I don't know how well I explained it, but whatever.
We ended up with, "Green finch and linnet bird--at the ballet--at the end of the day you're another day older, and that's all you can say for the life of the--poor dear, poor thing, they're having this ball all in--masquarade! paper faces on parade..."
We also found a table in one of the Thelma classrooms with lyrics to "The Worst Pies in London" scribbled across it.

Have I mentioned I've converted him to Sweeney-ism? On the way home we sang "A Little Priest," which he proceeded to translate spontaneously.
"Wait, you need to lock--"
"--Smith? *cackle* "

Apropos Sweeney, Yuval came behind the flies in his long, white professor's coat with his hair parted...like George Hearn on the DVD, there's no other way to describe it. We just stared at him for a moment (more like gaped), and Netan'el asked if he would kindly lift his right arm for a moment, that's it, over the head, in a murderous motion...

While fooling around on the stage (you know, getting to know the stage), someone up by the sound console decided to start playing "Roxanne." Netan'el grabbed me in a tango, and it took us a few seconds until we both looked at each other, and burst of with...
"...The TANGO: MAUREEN!!"

During notes, the director asked me to "try and remember" something. Yuval points at me, grins, and the two of us start singing "Try to remember the kind of September..."

God, I love this.

I now have a Galinda dress with a dip in the neck/bust area. My mom is going to flip.

Fluffy costumes are more painful than they seem. For one, I've got a ballgown that feels like a corset. For the other, the wheels of my suitcase ravaged my ankle upon my leaving the bus today. Ouch.

yuval, netan'el, wicked, sweeney todd, rehearsals
