Jamie and I have our motorcycle learner permits!
I am so excited (and nervous!) We did the two day course at HART which went very well yesterday. Everyone in our group was told that we would be undergoing the test today...so we looked outside this morning, checked the weather reports, and noticed we had to battle with 93km/h winds. Lovely.
However, despite the difficult conditions, we passed! Jamie already has his bike and I pick up mine on Friday. We also have the full leathers with all the armor, including the spine protectors with the crumple zones. When I get my bike, I think I'll just cruise around the 'burbs until the feel of the bike becomes natural to me (like driving my car), and then I'll start worrying about heavier traffic. It's all practice.
Now, training for your motorcycle permit is SO tiring. The trainers told us we'd all be exhausted; but at the start of the course I just couldn't see how that would be the case. That said, I am going to bed right now. And I know this entry is rather disjointed, but I'm too bloody buggered to edit or re-read it.
