HELP! DX
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CHEESE HELP ME! Computer Question!
Ok, so I've had this problem for a while now, where my messenger programs such as Windows Live, Skype, and multi messenger systems like Trillian, Meebo, and Pidgin ALL ARE having problems and fucking up for me.
I think for the most part it's MSN/Hotmail/Windows Live or whatever. Because on my hotmail account it had tremendous problems adding new contacts to 3rd party messenger applications like Trillion/Pidgin/Meebo (Yes I've tried all three). Like, whenever I try to add a new friend on MSN, the application either crashes, or doesn't go through no matter how many times I try to add the person, they just don't show up on my list, or it crashes/closes. :/ I also have had problems with Yahoo & contacts as well.
Also, on Skype it shows me as offline to a friend when I have not marked myself as offline at all and my friend appears offline to me even though we are talking to eachother, and it appears that we are not online to the other person. This is really getting on my nerves. It also does this sort of thing on MSN, where it shows me as offline to someone and they are offline to me even though we are both actually online.
Has anyone else had this much trouble? I haven't had that much trouble with Yahoo but then again it's the least of the three (MSN/Skype/Yahoo) IMing programs I use.
I even went out and created a new windows .live account, to test out Windows Live Messenger to see if somehow it was just my account that was bugged. But it still acts the same way. (Crashes after logging in.)
This leads me to believe it's either a problem with my internet, however I'm more inclined to say it's a problem with my computer. But I don't know where to even begin to look for a solution. Advice? (I also though about perhaps installing a different version of MSN messenger rather than the latest version of it, Windows Live, however I don't think that the program is the problem as it has problems with Meebo/Trillian/ & Pidgin as well.)
P.S. I've been thinking about reformatting my computer, maybe that'll fix the stupid problem. What say you guys?
