The computer is being painfully slow right now. I'm tired, and up long past my bedtime. But, as is want to happen from time to time, I have this compelling urge to try to capture the spirit of the moment.
I walked some 5 or 6 miles this evening, 2 of which were in evening heat. I don't know how (or why) I did it, but it felt just as cathartic as walking in the dead of winter does. It felt good, to force myself to be active, to get out of the house. I left the house as my parents were heading up to black oak. As it stands, like I've been saying repeatedly, I don't have anyone local to contact on a regular basis for hanging out. And, once more, I'm not saying it because I want pity (okay, maybe I do, a little) but just because, well, it's where I'm at at this moment.
I'm still listening to music from the mid-to-late 1990s, to try to tap into something I don't rightly remember. I bought my first cds in either late 1998 or early 1999, I can't recall which. I don't know why, but music always seems the most consistent and contradictory means of which to track and evaluate my life. For every word that has influenced me, for every frame of a movie that has influenced me, music still surpasses them both.
I don't know. I got caught up with google and what not. Another incomplete entry, abandoned before it even began...
