I've read 3 books so far this year:
The Call of the Toad (1992) by Gunter Grass
Charles V (1969) by Otto von Habsburg
The American Future: A History (2009) by Simon Schama
Next up: Ecological Intelligence (Goleman)
and Revolution 1989: The fall of the Soviet Empire (Sebestyn)
I'm also on track to make this a year of more "cultural" experiences. I'm on pace to watch more movies than I did last year and to have read more books than I did last year. Also, I'm trying out "new" music and just overall expanding my horizons. I'm reading the news more frequently and trying to stay engaged in life.
In short, I think I am living. Or, at least growing --like a cancer cell.
