Karl and I finally got a place. A few months back our realtor notified us that the building we live in was going to be renovated and that we had to vacate by the 20th of March. We thought we had plenty of time, but all the time just seemed to slip away. Monday of this week and we still didn't have a place to move into. The left us under two weeks to find something. Luckily, yesterday Karl caught a break and we found out we had been offered a place. Thank God! So, on Monday we are moving to an apartment in Prahran (which is a suburb I quite like - very green, leafy streets. Not much noise and nowhere near as pretentious as South Yarra). The apartment is close to the tram stops and a little bit of a walk away from the train station. I'm just excited to be moving out of this place. Over the past few weeks there have been road works out the front of our house at all hours, our neighbours are nosey and creepy, and we abhor this neighbourhood.
I wanted a fresh start for this year and while it didn't come in January it is still early in the year and I am happy to be continuing the majority of the year in a new, and improved location.
School is going well, I am loving three out of the four of my subjects and French is quickly becoming my favourite thing on earth. On NYE I resolved to be a happier, more approachable person at uni and it has worked in my favour, I have met some really wonderful people and I am feeling a little more a part of the university system. It goes to show that having a positive attitude really does make the energy and people you meet more positive as well.
I really think this year is going to be wonderful for me, and for Karl.
Blah, blah, blah. Where's the angst?
