Police unable to halt rural rave
By Ben Hoyle
Thousands of party-goers from across Europe converged on a disused Cornish airfield for a three-day rave that police were powerless to stop.
Huge marquees, stages and several sound systems were set up on the former Second World War airfield at Davidstow on Saturday night for the Bank Holiday techno festival.
Residents living close to the deserted stretch of common land on Bodmin Moor alerted police when hundreds of cars carrying up to 4,000 people clogged narrow country lanes around the venue.
Police officers were drafted in from all over Devon and Cornwall but because they were so heavily outnumbered they were unable to break the party up and instead opted to “control” it.

Thats on the land we own, how class is that!? Why wasn't I invited?! I own the sodding place!
