wintery Rum

I left work yesterday at 5pm on the dot because I couldn't take the office anymore and all I wanted is to get home and hide under a duvet with a cup of lemon tea and a book. But then I missed my bus. I am not used to buses here because I usually have the comfort of driving the car.
My car, however, can't cope with the snow. She is an English car and has never worn winter outfit, you know, the winter tyres or chains. She looks lovely in the white snow coat but she's rendered useless every time it snows..

Well, the bus escaped so I thought I will take a refreshing walk to the city centre, more less an hour to catch another bus home. I thought airing the head will do me good.
In normal circumstances it probably would have done me good though yesterday with like subzeroed temperature, grey overcast skies and that stuff that was falling from it that couldn't decide whether to be the snow or the rain all I got from that walk is a cold sore, blisters and a very dirty and soaked coat. Well done me.

But then I got home and that lovely guest we have has cooked us a dinner and then we smoked more dope, drank tea, re-watched Big Lebowski for the xth time and experimented with deserts! We created a wintery cinnamon spiced goodness by roasting nuts and dates and  cooking them with apples, oranges, cinnamon and maple sirup. We served that with cream. Yum! The mess we made in the kichen was spectacular but it was so worth it!

Today I went out of the house to this:

isn't it gorgeous?!

Though the next country I will move to has to have lovely sandy beaches, big waves, palm trees and mojitos a plenty...

winter winter winter
