i live a boring life
i realized how long it's been since i've posted, but then i realized how little i have to say. i leave for work, sit in traffic, get the shit kicked out of me by a seven year old, try to force her to play with friends/participate, sit with her on time out, get hit some more, come home, and pass out. that on repeat five days a week is my summer. written down it sounds a lot worse than it is. it's a good experience, it pays well, and it's definitely better than sitting around all day. it's just not exciting...at all!
however, this weekend i managed to go out with people. i went to sandcastle (aka giant water park for non-pittsburgh people). amanda, larissa, steve, pam, cj, haley, autumn, and steve's younger cousins. lazy river, wave pool, and sun at the waterfront. random detours around pittsburgh because of accidents and/or construction. thank god we stole mike's navigation system! dinner at red robin with an awesome waitress and basically the entire restaurant either laughing at us or completely offended. i was slightly reminded of mcgill outings, which makes me miss nashville (or ca$hville as derrick demands). although i'll be back in about a month and amanda is coming with me! she's never been to nashville, and it should be interesting having her meet vandy friends.
