OMGYAY!
Today my awesome bridal posse surprised me with a wedding shower! It was very sneaky because I was going over my sister's house for my niece's birthday, not to get a billion presents and see family members I haven't seen since I was 6! I was very surprised! (Well, right up until I pulled up and saw a billion cars out front...then I knew *something* was up.)
Trav and I are putting everything away now, so I won't say too much, but it was awesome. My niece Joanna made a gorgeous cake (with a pumpkin on top, you guys!) that tasted even better than it looked, and my bridal posse (because "bridesmaids" doesn't convey enough awesome) made these stupidly adorable favors that are penny candy wrapped in bunches so they look like dynamite, and there was awesome food and awesome brownies (OMGdrooool) and awesome guacamole and just general awesomeness. I wish I'd had more time to talk to people and experience the wonderful event they all planned (and eat all the delicious food that came with it), but I'm absolutely honored that they did it, and such an awesome job, too. I am indescribably be-tickled at the thought of friends and family, some of whom who had never met, getting together and planning something for lil' ol' me. I am wicked lucky. I'll put pictures up when we have a chance! Thanks guys, and thanks everyone who came!
