Wooooooooow

Okay so my friend at school asked me to read her English paper and edit the grammatical errors. Upon opening the file on her laptop, she said before I could read it I must keep in mind that she wrote it at 8:30 this morning after only 45 minutes of sleep, while talking on the phone, within ten minutes. This is what she wrote:

It came in a box; not too large, not small. The box was rectangular, and measured by eye to what I could closely guesstimate to be 1.5 ft X 1 ft. The box was plain, brown thick card board with the bold black logo on the cover that opened like a pizza box from the topmost side. Snuggled in Styrofoam and bubble wrap, there she was; beautiful, with a measurement of 17 inches. Flipping back the clear plastic bubble wrap with its crinkly sound, I got my first good look at her. She was vibrant and like an explosion to look at; a red white and black top swirling and dipping and diving into its self and around the shiny silver four letter logo pressed into her center. I lifted her out of her nestled bed of protection carefully, so afraid I was going to break her. I slid the Styrofoam protection’s off of her sides with an ear-splitting-shivers-down-you-spine-kind of sound, and let them drop to the floor, bouncing off the carpet before coming to a rest in a heap with a simple thud. Setting her down on the kitchen table I got my first real look at her. Sleek and smooth never before been touched; she was perfect. I opened her up with careful fingers to look at her brilliant black interior, dark as ink and shiny as well with little accents of silver and white gleaming in the over head light. Wiping her down with a gentle cloth, removing the few specks of dust that stuck lightly to her screen, she was marvelous. Attaching her to her energy source, and pressing a glint of silver sent her spring forth into life, a gentle hum to be heard and lights flickering on were her first signs of life; a blue screen shone through and asked me to enter her name, which would be hers’ forever more. With a few quick strokes from well practiced fingers I typed in her name, simple and Disney movie reminiscent: Lapp*E, my very first laptop, all to my own.

I laughed for a good 5 minutes before I could even begin to edit it.
