What, stomach the...? ::dies a little inside:: I love tea! It tastes great, it's healthy, and it doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste in your mouth for the rest of the day like coffee does. Also, for some reason, I associate tea with zen and relaxation, as opposed to coffee which I only ever drink when I'm stressed out and need to stay awake all night because I'm totally behind on a project that is tearing away at my soul in small chunks. Though, I love the smell of someone else making coffee in the morning.
I didn't really like tea before I worked at the Tea Room either, but I found out most of that was due to the fact that I was drinking a flavor I didn't like, was burning the leaves with water that was too hot, and bouncing the tea bag in the cup to boot. (Which is to say I was basically ensuring my tea was flavorless and very bitter tasting.)
Is tea black? Ha ha! Actually that tea is a white tea, but yes, it is black in the sense that I didn't add any sugar or whatnot to it, which is what I'm guessing you're asking. There are black teas, but it means something else than the term "black coffee" does. In fact, there are black teas, oolong teas, green teas, AND white teas! In a sentence, the difference between them are how early the tea leaves are picked and whether or not they are roasted. White teas are my favorite, which is when the leaves are picked when they are still practically buds, then allowed to dry in sunlight rather than roasted.
I'll stop now, because, seriously, I can go on forever and my sharp sense of deduction tells me you may not actually like tea. (GASP!) You heathen. XD
I want to like green tea, I really do. I keep buying it and trying it and then giving it away to people who will actually drink it. >_> You gotta understand I'm a Mt. Dew adict and somehow, green tea next to Mt. Dew is just so... >_<;
It's totally unhealthy for you, carbonated, easily accessible at your neighborhood grocery, and also green tea! What's not to like? It's just about my favorite soda ever. Though... ::squints one eye:: I don't know how this will pan out with you since you drink the mother of all sodas with the sugar content and all that.
::Stares at the picture:: Damn, I want some now. Too bad the only drinks in our apartment are tea, bottled water, and skim milk. Oh, and Jenny's nasty-ass Spring-edition Woodchuck, which tastes disturbingly like pancakes.
Yeeeeeeah, that's probably about as good for me as the Arizona green tea I struggled so hard to get switched to. *sigh* Not bad stuff, until I realized that the calorie count was actually just as high as a bottle of Dew. o_O What the hell is a Woodchuck other than a burrowing animal?
