But soon, that would all end.
The shadows shifted around Sensui as he turned away from the wall-length window, and a shimmer of white appeared out of nowhere, a close presence at his elbow that he did not need to see to behold.
"It is done?" Itsuki's voice was soft, almost feminine in its care.
"Yes." Sensui closed his eyes. Toguro Ani had been useful, indeed. He had supplied their group with information Sensui had been unable to gather on his own - that of confirming the identity of Koenma's new detective-boy. A teen, again, of course. They were always the most volatile in their development of spirit energy, once it had been awakened. And for now, he could begin to plan. Never mind that the boy had only recently returned from the invigorating experience of the Dark Tournament - this knowledge coming to him so easily must mean that Fate was once again on his side.
He could not fail. Humanity would pay for its crimes, even if the endeavor took Sensui to his dying breath.
