I don't think I can ever come up with the appropriate feedback for these. I started something similar a long time ago but never finished, and reading these now, I'm glad I didn't. You made me cry, of course. And you made me love Connor, and Angel, even more.

You know I do believe in a happily ever after for them. But the road that leads to it is so incredibly painful.

Your words always packs a punch. You did really well here, with the few lines and the wealth of meaning.

“Micheal Riley, Grandfather. Pianist.” Everyone says Connor has musicians’ hands.
To the reader who knows the real story, this makes you flinch a little. Cause we know that Connor isn't related to that man, that his name on that tree is nothing but a big fat lie.

“If I sleep, will I wake up again?”
“Yes,” Stephen’s father says.
And he trusts in him, to say the truth. When really all he's said is a lie, made into his own truth.
Daniel kisses his forehead. “I will not lie to you, Stephen. Ever.”
I think that sentence was worst, a painful point, becuase the kiss and the words contradict each other so much.

“Course he did! That’s what I’m trying to tell you.” Angelus smiles. “Your Daddy’s real proud of you. Son.”
Ooh, such a lovely twist. Angelus' boy - Connor who'd been told his entire upbringing what a devil Angelus was... and he ends up making him proud. Must hurt, that...
