What does your dream home look like?

My dream home? I don't know. I like the home I have now. It's a nice house. My room's big enough. There's my desk and my bed and a really nice cabinet for my collections. The walls are painted green and I put up lots of posters and drawings and stuff. I really like my room like it is. And there's Toby's room next door and Duncan and Gemma's upstairs. And we've got a living room and a little garden in the back and a community garden right behind it. And there's no wall or fence or anything, so it's like we have a really big garden. We can play football out there. And in winter, when it snows a lot we can have snow ball fights and built a snow man that no one destroys. And Tess and Geordie really like playing there too. Sid likes the garden only in the summer but Sid's a cat.
We're a family and this house is our home. I really like it.

But I miss my mum too. And the home we had. The house was smaller and my room was smaller too. And I didn't have a brother or a dog or a cat. But it was a great home. We had a garden there too. Mum didn't really know how to look after it, so it was pretty wild. But it didn't matter. Mum didn't know how to cook either, but she was my mum. And there was the river not far from the back fence. I miss sitting there by the river watching it flow. I miss being a family with mum and dad.

So maybe my dream home is a combination of both? A house that's something between the London one and the Grantchester one. And we all live there together. Mum, dad, Duncan, Gemma and Toby. And there's Tess and Geordie and Sid too. And we're all one big family and we're happy.
But that's not going to happen. It can't. So I'm happy enough with what I have.
