I was three days at my new job now and I feel like I did a good job so far. I know a lot more of this Computer Aided Design Program now and I have a very good feeling about the future. On friday I started to do some easy things like drawing lines and circles and so on. At monday I tried to draw one of their drawings of an optical sensor for maritime science. I did good so far. Not as good as one, who knows this program, but good enough. On thuesday I did the same: Trying to copy the 2D-drawings from the paper to a 3D-drawing into the computer. It could have been better, but it could have been worse too. I'm satisfied with my first three days and that is what counts, right?
Last saturday we were at the school enrolment of the youngest son of a good friend. We had a nice day (but the family of the friends girlfriend was weird like always. I'm very sure, the friends girlfriend isn't a real member of this family. I'm very, very sure!!!). The little boy was not very excited about the school. After a little show of the 3rd class kids, the "new kids" were divided into classes and had their first lesson, whilst the families and friends were waiting. They had organized coffee, cakes and biskuits for them. The kids had to paint a picture in their first lesson. "Our" boy said he painted his picture black and he said also that the school is silly and he doesn't want to go there. Poor boy! He has to go there at least 10 years *lol*
On sunday our families (husbands and mine) where here to celebrate his birthday. We had a lot of fun (well, he and the others had. I had a lot work to do, like cooking coffe, asking about which cake everyone wants, .........I didn't had much time to sit and talk). But it was a nice day. We saw a "few" (200) wedding pictures (we have around 1200 at the moment and there are a lot more coming, thanks to the single-use cameras, that we had placed on every table)
My parents are on a long bycicle tour. Their finish point is the border of denmark where they want to be on saturday or sunday. My Dad said, that are around 450 Kilometres, they have to drive. Well, as long as I didn't have to drive that far by bike..........Why did I tell you that? That's an easy question with an easy answer. You know, my parents don't have enough time to drive back by bike, so they want to come back by train. Traindrives are not very simple in Germany thanks to the "Deutsche Bahn". When they want to come home all the way to their hometown, they have to order the tickets a week before they want to use the train and they have to change the train often. Since they don't know, if they want to came back on saturday or sunday, they can't order these tickets. So they can only use the train, until they reach Glücksstadt. That's why they ask Jan and me to meet them there and drive them home by car. You still don't know, why I tell you this story? Well, on the other site of the river "Elbe" is the city called "Wischhafen", which is near Stade, which is near Hollern-Twielenfleth and that is where Gina lives. Do you know now, why I tell you about my parents holiday?
Maybe we can make a little stop at Ginas house or we can meet somewhere in a café? What do you think of that, Gina? It would be great to meet you. We could speculate about the new castles-chapter, talk about the lovelife of our australian friends and make photos of our meeting, which we could show Alicia and Sandy. We won't have much time, but better one little hour than nothing. Tell me, if that's okay and we can meet.
I stop now. My book is waiting in the living room (Diana Gabaldons Highland Saga, Book 2 "Dragonfly in Amber" (The german title is "Die geliehene Zeit" which means "The borowed time" in english). I love Jamie and Claire and I could read this books again and again and again.
So, good bye fans. I hope to read some news of you soon. What's going on with Pommy, Alicia? Still happy? Are you a couple now or are you secretly married in Las Vegas and on honeymoon at Hawaii now *LOL*? And do you have a new computer Sandy? Tell us, how your life is at the moment. I miss my australian friends. Don't forget Gina and me in this little country in Europe called Germany.
