Halloween in Salem was fun, if challenging, due to crowds, parking, stabbings, and horseback-mounted police. Music was over-represented in the club I was in, as I saw Slash, Rob Zombie, and Dolly Parton, but my favorite costume all night was the completely under the radar Ron Jeremy. The band went as ZZ Top, and I was completely unoriginal, in my last-ditch attempt to get costumed comfortably. An incomplete photo set is here, and hopefully I'll get the rest of the good costumes up soon. (Don't hold your breath.)
The Florida trip is still happening, despite cancellation of the Riverwalk Blues Festival due to Hurricane Wilma damage. Check the schedule for more up-to-date info. I'll keep posting there, unless my computer gets taken away by the next hurricane, in addition to all the internet cafes.
