No good road stories to tell this week, unless you count the nearly 3 hours I sat in an ambulance on 128 South on Tuesday morning, waiting for *anyone* to (be able to) move. Even last February's blizzard, during which I broke my CV joint on the way to a gig at Sunday River, did not cause as much drama as Tuesday's 15 minute squall. Ah, New England weather.
Friday night, December 5, you can brave some more snow and see The Matthew Stubbs Band at Gillian's Cafe in Taunton, Massachusetts. We'll have Scott Shetler on the mellow saxophone, and maybe a special guest or two. For directions, check out:

December 6, on Saturday afternoon, we'll be featured on WMFO's Blues and Beyond with Jim Carty. Jim's show is on from 1:00-4:00 PM, and WMFO is at 91.5 on your FM radio dial. You can check out the WMFO schedule and also listen to them online!

For those following along at home, our "Going To Memphis" Benefit in November went swimmingly. People were generous, and our guests were wonderful. There were so many good players there, I can't even remember who they all were, but the night was great, and musically fantastic. We have one more benefit coming up, too.
Stay tuned for the
Boston Blues Society's "Get Out Of Town" Benefit on December 17, at
Johnny D's in Somerville, to send
lloyd Thayer (solo artist) and the
Matthew Stubbs Band to Memphis to represent Boston in the
International Blues Challenge. If you would like to buy tickets, it benefits us the most if you contact us, lloyd Thayer, or the Boston Blues Society directly in advance of the show. Tickets for the show are $10, and it's a great deal because you get to see lloyd *and* us, and it's going to be One Of Those High Energy Shows just because there will be so many people there. It should be a great time.
