"It is destiny, my love! Destiny and chicken."
Oh, Arthur, my shameful adoration of you knows no bounds. You're just so manly and stubborn and stupid and blonde.
And Merlin. How can I do anything but flail with fannish glee at your increasingly ill hidden crush on Arthur. You can sleep with all the random people you like, but we know that Arthur is the only one for you. You should probably hide it a little better though; I know Uther gave you his blessing, but one of these days he's going to get tired of you eye-fucking his son in public. Keep it behind closed doors like a good kept boy.
Rewatching Merlin again. I forget just how much I adore it until I put it on, then I just sit spellbound, flailing at the bromance and gleefully repeating lines in increasingly silly voices until I remember that my flat has very thin floors and the people downstairs can probably hear me.
Also watching SPN with my Dad, though season six doesn't start over here for a couple of weeks so I'm a whole season behind. I will weep bitterly if I find myself spoiled so I'm avoiding pretty much the entire fandom for the next couple of months.
I never noticed how many programs have dead mothers and irrationally grieving dads until I tried introducing my favourite shows to my dad. It's increasingly painful to watch what is basically every conversation I've ever had about my mum with my dad, portrayed with disturbing accuracy on screen when my dad is sitting right next to me. Realising just how much my father has in common with Uther Pendragon is rather worrying; I always sympathised a little with Uther, but I know how my dad has struggled with my mother's death and he was in no way to blame for an accident of birth. I find it hard to hate Uther's actions when in so many ways I have seen parallels in my own life. Grief makes men do stupid things; most men turn to drink, it is a shame that Uther instead turned to murder.
I'm in love with Sky. Or more accurately with Sky+. Being able to record tv and set the series link is brilliant. I haven't got around to watching Game of Thrones or Sons of Anarchy yet, but I don't need to worry about missing them because my Sky box automatically records them for me. When I was growing up Sky was always viewed as a rather toffish thing to have; only rich twits who had more money than they knew what to do with bothered, but these days it's actually not that expensive; it's the cheapest broadband and line rental available unless you work for a company who provides with and unless you're forking out for sport and movie channels the rest is actually fairly cheap.
"I need a dozen Knights. Those who do not wish to fight can do so without stain on their character, for those brave enough to volunteer should know... the chances of returning are slim."
Oh Arthur. <3
Oh boys! Why won't you stop your bickering and admit your love for each other? You'll have much more fun.
Arthur's hysterical laughter amuses me.
There is increasingly little point to this entry.
Someone should tell Merlin that his attempts at being manly and grr would work better if he didn't cry though them

arthur makes me go aww,
