Demon whisperer

I'm having some good luck lately. The car is not only in excellent condition, but also cute as hell, packing up is going faster than I thought and I'm looking forward to the new place, and today two different grandmas at work gave me presents! One of them bought me a smoothie after I taught art class with her granddaughter, and the other had her baby granddaughter hand me ten bucks. In her thick Chinese accent, gran said, "I buy you lunch, you do good job!" I wanted to hug them both.

Kind of high with the freedom of having a car -- can't let it go to my head, though, because (shh!) I haven't got all the paperwork handled yet. Still, it's so nice to be able to finish with work and then actually leave! I'm used to waiting for a minimum of forty minutes in the hot sun on a super uncomfortable wooden slab waiting for a crowded, hot, smelly, noisy bus. To be home within thirty minutes of finishing work is a Christmas miracle.

New comic day, hurrah! I wonder if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I haven't heard back from the remaining seven comic syndicates I sent my strip to. Could they be keeping silent because they've forgotten about me, or because they've moved me to the finalists pile? I suspect the former.

Enjoy! Ladies, you get the same thing, right? Right?

As always, this and more is available on my SCP site including photos of the, I admit, rather good, clay figures of Mordak and Randall that I made for Liz! GO LOOK!
