Poor Finn and poor Kit. (And believe me, I know EXACTLY how you feel. It happened to me twice in less than a year.)
I've been meaning to comment for a looooong time--I LOVE THESE. I always have and now with the sepia-toned coloring and shading, they're just fantastic. You are awesome--Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I'm really loving the paintings, too! I hope you get lots of commissions, though I doubt you'll have any problem. (Maybe one of these days I can send you $100 for a tiki painting. I have a soft spot for tikis.)
I'm so glad you dig these! You know, it's odd... you're the second person to mention a sepia tone, but I'm not actually doing one! Maybe the gray markers I'm using are going little rusty in their old age, I dunno... should I start making it sepia?
Ha! My dear, I wouldn't charge you a hundred coconuts for a painting! It's embarrassing. But hey, I was thinking of making a print account on Deviant Art... you think these would go over well there?
Awww, poor Finn. But he's unwittingly doing some good right? Giving you a push to find something new, giving you time to paint and draw and be you, all the while being able to still hang around and be your Bad-Demon-Influence-Friend. :) Interesting juxtaposition in the last two panels - Finn being threatened with being fired and your character actually getting fired to prevent Finn from getting canned. Innnnnteresting. ;)
Keep painting and posting pictures when you're done - I love seeing your work!
Nah, he's just being a big jerk. ;) I gotta be honest, Kristin, I have no idea how good my next job will be. I interviewed at this place yesterday, but they were only looking for on-call substitutes and it reminded me too much of my old center.
I had fun doing that juxtaposition, yeah. Thought it might be funny.
