I really enjoyed reading your post as I too sat alone in my house
in front of the computer screen and TV turned on to the left of it and a CD playing trying to drown out the quiet. I felt it was like the your
fingertip was reaching out to me like the painting by Michelangelo
"The Creation of Adam".
Thanks, now I've turned off the TV and muted the CD and am enjoying the 'quiet"

Love your art

It's always nice to know someone is awake.

Sometimes we need noise and sometimes we need to make noise ourselves and know that someone is awake, and is listening. So thanks for listening.

I'm very glad you enjoy the art! Please stick around.

Should have dropped me a txt, Kit. I'm up. :) Well, I'm heading to bed NOW... :p

Heh, if it's late, you can always call me. I'm usually up.

I can totally relate - I know that feeling. It seems like my life is so busy - full of work, school, homework, the boy, the cats, errands, bills - lather, rinse and repeat. The times that every gets done, and there's nothing left to do, and the boy is out, the cats are asleep, and house is quiet - it's almost like I don't know what to do with myself. I alternate between feeling really lonely and trying to savor the quiet "me" time. I've found the easiest way to enjoy my time is to make a nice hot cup of tea, and slowly savor it - not put it down to do one thing, and that leads to another, and by the time I remember my tea it's cold. I sit there and enjoy it while it's hot, just content on the couch in the quiet house. Whether it's early morning or late at night.

*hugs* I'm up, and I'm here, and I'm listening. :)

Once I get used to life being so dern packed with things, it feels like something's missing when I'm up by myself. I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I feel like I need to have someone to talk to but there was a time when I had no problem being alone.

Your tea, my journal... we all have our therapies. Thanks.

Well, I assumed I only got those feelings because I was older. But, if you get them too, that must not be the case.

You write as well as you draw, and that's saying something. Keep it coming!

I guess it can happen to you no matter how old you are or what stage you're at. But then, loneliness is so universal that no one should ever be lonely, since everyone is.

Thank you much!
