I'm sorry, Bryan Cohen, but this boy deserves to win the $50,000 Karaoke Contest more than you do, if only to help his poor parents pay for this month's supply of ritalin.
Notice how, toward the end, he seems so engrossed in the text reading "Instrumental 16 bars" that he forgets to head-bang.
Also, what destruction has he wrought when that crash happens halfway through?
He does have a nice James Blunt moment to start off the song though when he apparently thinks the title screen of the karaoke is the first line of the song. ...Actually, that raises the question: Why did he submit this particular video? Did he only have one Super-8 tape to record on and this was a one-take wonder? Did he not know the song at all and thus assumed he was doing everything correctly? Or is this contest one of those situations where you just submit via a webcam, and his parents are going to --years from now-- prime him to run for town council but be mortified when the campaign ends ten seconds into the opposition's first smear campaign ad, when this video is shown, salvaged from a national archive of democrats who were too hopped up on drugs to realize what a bad idea online video karaoke is?
