So, last entry, I was waiting to go to that Sign Language meeting at 5:00. After going to the meeting, I felt completely inadequate as a human being. The Three Professors that teach the courses are Deaf. So there's a language barrier between them and their students who don't know sign. But I am now determined. They said that they wouldn't sign my add form til monday so I'm going to the class on monday and Renato(the professor) is going to sign it and I'll be in that class.
But now I am completely determined to become fluent in Sign. I feel like, i won't be a complete person until i do. So that's that.
I went to my Psych class yesterday. It was really funny because the teacher tricked us. she came into class as a student and sat down in a desk and even asked if anyone knew who the teacher was for the class. Then at 2:00, she stood up, walked to the front, and said, "Hello, I am Ms. McPherson." We were shocked. I couldn't help but laugh because just 5 minutes before I was actuallly thinking about that exact thing happening. "The teacher pretending to be a student then getting up and being the teacher" like on Saved by the Bell.
Then I went to Speech Communication. Met a guy named Ben. He's now my partner for my next speech in which we have to introduce each other to the class. Kind of a Kindergarten assignment, but I'm not complaining. College is complicated enough without being harsh.
So today, I decided that my English teacher is probably my favorite and he should just be my teacher for everything. English, math, drama, whatever. He was handing back our English placement exams we took on sunday and then proceeded to explain them using a Bell Curve. you know the one thingin Ms. Kintz's math class you could get? I swear I completely understood. T'was quite exhilarating. Plus he's funny and keeps us awake. And its funny since he's still trying to learn our names, everytime you ask him a question or something, you can't ask him til he says your name because he'll zone out for a sec trying to remember your name and then he'll get it while your talking to him and shout it out, then you have to start over because he wasn't listening. Its funny to watch.
Oh and last night was Club night. I signed up for like 3 clubs, not that i have to go to all of them, in fact I'll probably only go to one. I signed up for On Religion Club, where they talk about religions and stuff once a week, then philoshophy club and Spirit club which is a sign language performance group. But it was fun and Bradley and I got smoothies from Molly's (the school cafe).
Hmm. I've written a lot. I like college so far. now I'm just waiting for Bradley to get out of his history class so we can go to lunch and drama.
If you read all of this with a interest, I owe you a hug and a cookie.
Loves.
