Today jeff called me and said, "hey, meet me at grants house, ive got a huge surpise for you!"
"Ok, see you there" i said
Jeff (one of my best friends, whom ive been friends w/ since we were 9yo) works at the salvation army, in the loading/donating dock, so he always brings me intersting ties, or scarfs, ect - so i figured it was somthing small/rediculas.
When he arrived at grants house what do i see?
Fucking drum cases, really old, really interesting looking, drum cases..
Oh god. Dear god.
"its what in the cases that counts!" he proclaims.

A FUCKING 1968 LUDWIG VINTAGE CHAMPEGENE-SPARKLE 4 PIECE DRUM SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I jumped on jeff and gave him won of the biggest hugs i think ive ever given anybody... and i tried as hard as i could to put as much feeling and heart and soul into the hug as possible. Probably won of the nicest coolest best so great gifts anybody has ever given me in my entire life.
Dear lord, i dont know how much its worth yet, i cant belive it came from the salvation army(are you fucking serious?), I didnt even have to pay him for it or anything!... but its in great condition and im so exited to play it, because it fits perfectly w/ my rack mount.......... (hangs tounge out-of-mouth ahlllhallllhhghghghh...) its like an amazing champegene/goldishpink/sparkle color, i cant wait to find out what kind of wood its made of and stuff.
Oh my god, I got a new drum set. An amazing drum set. I will never forget this day, as long as i live.
