The Runaway Bride

A fanfiction starring Jung Nicole and Son Dong Woon

Chapter 1 ★ Chapter 2 ☆  Chapter 3 ★ Chapter 4 ☆ Chapter 5 ★
06 : Prince Charming is a werewolf.

Aside from being the biggest jerk she’d ever met in her entire life who does nothing all day but to yell at her, Jung Nicole hadn’t really known anything much about Son Dong Woon. He was way too mysterious, that sometimes she’d have these weird thoughts of him being a werewolf (well, that could definitely explain all those hairs) who was just waiting for the right time (maybe when she’s all fat and mouth-watering) to lunge at her and eat her. She shuddered on her seat. She would even have nightmares about it.

Okay, scratch that. Now that she had thought real hard about it, there is another one that she had found out about him. Apparently, Son Dong Woon is an actor.  The I’m-so-cool-and-good-looking-on-TV-I-make-women’s-ovaries-explode kind of way.

She snorted. When Nana, his gorgeous twin sister slash “manager” who had been her only friend ever since she ended up in Son Dong Woon’s apartment, or lair if it turns out she’d been right about him being a werewolf, had broken the news to her, she almost died laughing. Son Dong Woon, an actor ? That’s the most hilarious thing she’d ever heard in her life! But when Nana had gaped at her as if it had been the most obvious thing in the world, she figured she hadn’t been joking at all.

And so she had quickly regained her composure and clumsily explained how she had spent most of her life in abroad thus she hadn’t had a clue about Korean entertainment and acted (but failed) all hurt that her boyfriend had been too secretive to her. But as it had turned out, she had sounded pretty convincing that Nana had furiously punched in Dong Woon’s number in her phone and started shrieking at her brother.

A week later, she found herself alone in his apartment. Sitting on his couch, her legs sprawled on the coffee table while mindlessly flicking through the channels of his flat screen TV.  Nana had told her that Dong Woon had been in a one-week vacation (so he’d been with her every day the week before) and had now gotten back to work.

Her frown had gone deeper as she thought about how the apartment had been so empty without him yelling at her to wake up in the mornings and scold her whenever she serves him burned crap for breakfast (which practically happens every day). So he was a jerk alright, but whenever she screws up, he would look at her with his eyes laughing (it happens awfully quickly, but she definitely knows what she sees) and then she would realize, maybe Son Dong Woon wasn’t that bad after all.

She missed those times. And God help her, she missed him.

And as if she had conjured him up just by thinking about him, there he was, Son Dong Woon, as unbelievably gorgeous as ever it hurts, staring at her with that arrogant smirk she’d grown to love and hate at the same time.

And then, he collapsed.

“Dong Woon-ssi!”
