I also referred to a certain city I absolutely abhor akin to the "Fourth Ring of the Ninth Circle," also known as Judecca. Maybe at least 2 people would know what I am talking about, 3 at the most... ha. I love riddling my journal entries with pieces of literary works that the few and far between would understand. >:|
Anyway, on a happier note... I was given bandages with sushi prints on them!!*#$&%@^ They are so freaking adorable it hurts... no pun intended. The guy at the register was super sweet and was like, "Here have these!" Also, I got this really cute postcard that I couldn't resist on buying. It's now my background. If you laugh at it, that tells me know you know where the joke is coming from. If you don't laugh at it, well you just don't get it I guess. Sorryyy!
Despite my continuous cynicism, a taxi ride the other day restored a little faith in humanity. The driver was telling me certain places to avoid when I'm on my bike. He also stopped the meter for the cab fares and was like, "Just pay me 7 bucks and I'll take you wherever you need to be." Seriously, that made my night. It just shows there's still some sort of sincerity and compassion out there from random people. :)
