a few highlights:
everyone said or skirted around the fact that i "lacked a relationship between difficulty and intonation" - that is to say, my more difficult parts were more in tune than some of the easier parts ("what the hell is wrong with her?!?")
EXCEPT for darrett adkins, the ONLY person who didn't mention my intonation as problematic but instead said "good...pitch, very nice" - ??? he's a cello professor, these are the Bach cello suites, how is he the only one out of 8 who doesn't think i'm out of tune? makes NO sense.
marilyn macdonald: "there seems to be a certain left hand tension..." (yes, thats where i've been putting all the tension that i've been working out of my right hand. i dont know how it happened and im trying to fix it...)
karen ritscher: my bach was "musical," had a "good sense of line," and my bourrees had "attractive phrasing"! yay!!!
kyung sun lee: "good to see you have 'feel' for the music"
it wasn't all good of course, but the criticisms are for me to work out for myself. overall, everyone really liked my jury. im glad. it makes me feel good about all the work i put into this semster.
