concert was AMAZING!!! it was all brahms (who is amazing) - the tragic overture and the german requiem - both beautiful pieces, and today was brahms' 123rd birthday so it was spectacular. our guest conductor, harry davidson from duke, is one of the kindest people (tom is also on that list, of course) and he was an inspiring and dedicated conductor. i told him after the dress rehearsal that working with him had been wonderful and he gave me a big hug. the whole experience, with him and the musical union and the organ in finney was one of the best concert experiences of my life.
