[Walking around in Xanadu himself, Eagle was surprised to suddenly stumble across a young lady clearly not dressed for the cold. Well, maybe she was like Umi and the cold really didn’t bother her? There was one way to find out… ]

It is a little cold to be wandering around in the snow isn’t it?

[And after a moment where he could get a better look at the girl. ]

Have you been in the City for very long…? I don’t believe I have ever seen you before.

[ Aaand Ty Lee is a bit more confused by what the man is saying, but he doesn't seem so bad and obviously knows this place. She smiles at him a bit sheepishly at first, though. ] Um, hey. [ Little wave here. ] Yeah, I just sort of fell in here a few minutes ago...

[ She comes closer to him with as much grace as someone can with snow seeping into their shoes. ] Anyway, you're not using all that, are you? [ Pointing around at his outerwear. ]

The City isn’t very accommodating… dropping people unprepared for the weather into snowdrifts.

[And he was already unfastening his white cape to wrap around the young girl’s shoulders before she asked about it. He might get a little chilly but at least she would be warmer.]

Unfortunately I don’t have any better shoes for you, but if you stay on the pathways the snow isn’t as deep there. The Welcome Center near the center of the City should be able to provide you with some warmer clothes. Since you are new here, would you like for me to show you the way?

[And because it was the polite thing to do, an introduction. ]

[ She still didn't entirely get what was going on yet - in fact, she was more confused now than before - but it was looking better than she expected already! She wraps the cape around her shoulders with a bright smile. ]

It's Ty Lee. [ She cuddles into the cape a bit. ] Thanks for the cape; it's so cosy.

But you can still show me to the Welcome Center, too. [ Walking closer to him with all the grace someone can have with snow in her shoes. ] It's really nice of them to have one here! Do you welcome all the new people?

[Eagle smiles at the girl before turning to lead the way to the Welcome Center… trying to chose a path with the smallest snow drifts. ]

It would be impossible for me to welcome every new person that enters the City… but if I run into someone who looks like they could use a little help, I do try to do what I can.

This City pulls people in from all kinds of worlds. Your world must have a warmer climate?
[A guess since she was totally unprepared for snow and a leading question because… he is always curious about people and the world‘s they come from.]

"World"? Um, yeah, it's summer outside of here, you know. You've been stuck here for a while, huh?

[The ‘world’ concept was one of the few things Eagle didn’t find strange when he arrived… since he already knew of several worlds that were located near his own planet. ]

So, where you come from there is only one world? [Guessing from the question. ]

Generally worlds are located on other planets, but they can also be from other dimensions.
[Too bad the ‘world’ concept is one difficult to explain. ]

Unfortunately I have been trapped here for several months now… A powerful barrier prevents anyone from leaving this place. And other tactics… have so far failed to produce any solid results.
[Opps slipped into ‘Command mode’ there for a minute. Have another friendly smile. ]

I wouldn’t worry about that too much right now. You might only be here for a short period of time.

[ Command mode, her head, whoosh. Well, that's an exaggeration. She gets it for the most part. ] Oh, okay. That would be really great. It's not that this place is bad or anything, but I'm starting to miss the nice, warm sun on my skin already... [ A little pouting saying this even as she gets more comfortable in Eagle's cape. ]

How long were you sentenced to be here, anyway? ...I mean, they'll still let you out of this other world thing sometime, right?

[Odd choice of words since he hasn’t actually been tried for any kind of crime… but if she meant… ]

How long a person stays here seems completely up to the whim of the deities. It could be a short stay or a very lengthy one…

[And look just up ahead the exit to Xanadu! Before too much longer they are out of the usually peaceful garden and surrounded by the tall buildings of the city proper.]

And there are curses to worry about. Strange magical occurrences that make unusual things happen. It has been quiet for a while, we should be due for one of these…

[Eagle didn’t want to frighten the girl but, she should be warned about those. ]

[ Ooo, an exit! Ty Lee is fascinated by the tall buildings and looks around them with a small smile despite what she's being told. ]

That's not very fair! But I guess if they call themselves "deities" they aren't really going for fair and humble...

I sort of like the way "magical occurrences" sound, but I get the feeling they're not as fun as I imagine. Like I'll end up landing in snow again! And without shoes this time!

[She’s very energetic! And such child-like wonder at the tall buildings? Chuckle.]

Just be cautious if anything bizarre starts happening.
As long as you have some way of defending yourself you should be fine.

[The cluster of buildings part as the City square comes into view and with it the Welcome Center. Eagle will walk her to the door just to make certain she makes it there safely. ]

This is the Welcome Center. They should be able to help you get settled into an apartment if that is what you chose to do… or at the very least offer you some warmer clothing.

[ Arriving at the door, she looks it over before turning to Eagle again. ] I should be fine from here. [ And he gets a quick hug! ] Thanks for everything! It's really nice of you to help me out so much. Do you need this back? [ She holds it up, but doesn't take it off yet. ]

I’m glad to hear that. You seem like a very nice young lady, I wouldn’t like to hear that anything bad had happened to you.

[A very polite way of saying, “Yes, I would like that back once you get out of the cold.” It was a bit chilly without it.
Eagle of course stands to one side holding the door open for her to enter… since he is a gentleman. ]
