(no subject)
So I think I'm just going to stay at k-mart. At least until holidays are over. There's just too many benefits outweighing other jobs right now.
Pros-
I know the store really well, and learning everything over again from scratch is a pain in the ass.
I've been there a long time, and not a single person there knows me other than my cover up self of being a "quiet goody girl". Basically I can get away for mouthing off to a customer because no manager will believe me I'd say some of these things :P
It's not structured very well, so as long as i get my job done I can do whatever. Take a 30 minute break? no problem. Go talk to someone more interesting than working? Sure.
I've been there long enough that I can get any time off I want. Since I plan on going to Peoria with Anthony's family for Thanksgiving and Christmas we're visiting Reno (for sure this time), I couldn't do that at most other jobs this time of year.
I get plenty of hours there since I'm the main person working in men's dpt at night, plus i'm really versatile to other departments if they need me
Cons-
it's a long drive, so occassionally I have to deal with rush hour traffic and buying gas once a week.
The payrate is pretty shitty. I'm gonna ask for a raise of at least to $8 sometime within the next week. At least I'm not really having money problems right now.
There's tons of mexicans that go there that can't speak english and drive me nuts. At least I'm getting better at avoiding them.
They're also shutting down the grocery department of the store & becoming an 8am-10pm business. I'm not sure yet if I like this change or not.
