i now have the utmost pretty princess room of rooms. it's complete with my intricate wire-framed bed, two mini chandeliers, and a canopy - cascading from the ceiling down to the bed posts, covering my headboard with sheer white fabric and embroidered butterflies. how could any child (girl) not be in love with this room? when i have my daughter, she is definitely getting the pink walls and bright colors, not the stupid posters and white walls i had growing up. maybe then she won't be depressed like i was.

i guess that makes it official - i'm someday having kids. i mean, i have to, really. i'm only THE BEST nanny/auntie/babysitter in the valley. of course, tori's now blaming me for killing her fish, (who knew beta fish were only supposed to eat 1-2 pellets twice a week? the little guy looked hungry...) but i'm blaming claire - her 5 year old daughter who thought the fish needed petting and grabbed him out of the tank and held him before placing him on the counter. come on!! it wasn't the pellets!! tami thinks he committed suicide like the bird (whose wings were clipped) that fell off tori's shoulder to an untimely death while she was walking down the stairs. see? pets just don't like that household, that's all.

i played bunko tonight. for those of you who don't know... bunko is a dice game where you roll and count points, put in money and drink alcohol with other mothers (no, im not a mother) in the neighborhood while they discuss their kids and husbands. i was a real housewife tonight, man. but you know... its not a bad game. i got all into it. it could easily be turned into a drinking game when i get back to school. watch out easthampton - we're starting a bunko group. on the plus side, i gave my number out to like 8 new people and am booked until i die for babysitting... ok, maybe only until the end of summer. hopefully it will bring in some cash.

i'm going to the city again tomorrow to take josh to another job. this kid is getting so much work this summer! its kinda cool though... i feel like his agent, haha. i don't know if i'm taking the convertible or not tomorrow. i dont want to get stuck in midday traffic (there is ALWAYS traffic here, not just at certain hours) with the sun beating down on me, but if its not swealtering like it has been, then a drive in the mercedes will be enjoyable. i love that car... (pics to come.)
the weather has been crazy hot here lately. its such a nice change from the cold nights and winter days in massachusetts.

but i'll be back soon enough.
